1. Acceptance of Terms

 

Welcome to the Irish Medtech Skillnet online booking portal (live.irishmedtechskillnet.ie), operated by Irish Medtech Skillnet, a business network of Ibec, and powered by the CourseCo training platform. By accessing this website, creating an account, or making a booking, you agree to be bound by the following Terms of Use ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and all applicable Irish and EU laws. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use this website.

 

2. User Accounts and Responsibilities

  • Account Creation: To access full functionality and make a booking, you may be required to register for an account. You agree to provide true, accurate, and complete information during registration and to keep this information up to date.

  • Account Security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and login credentials. You are also fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account or any other breach of security.

  • One Account Per User: Each account is for a single, named individual. Sharing of accounts is not permitted.

 

3. Course Booking and Payment

  • Process: Course bookings are made by completing the online registration form through the platform. Submission of the form and successful payment constitutes an offer to book a place on a Course.

  • Confirmation: Your booking is confirmed upon receipt of a confirmation email from our system. If you do not receive this email, please check your spam folder before contacting us.

  • Fees: All Course fees are in Euros (€). Payment must be made in full at the time of booking via our secure online payment processor.

  • Eligibility: For courses subsidised by Skillnet Ireland, you confirm by booking that you meet all necessary eligibility criteria. We reserve the right to verify this and cancel bookings that do not meet the requirements.

 

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Cancellation by You:

    • All cancellation requests must be sent in writing via email.

    • More than 14 working days before the Course start date: A full refund will be issued, less a 10% administrative fee.

    • Between 7 and 14 working days before the Course start date: A 50% refund will be issued.

    • Less than 7 working days before the Course start date: No refund will be provided.

  • Substitutions: A registered participant may be substituted with a colleague at any time before the course begins at no extra charge. Please notify us of substitutions in writing.

  • Cancellation by Us: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any Course due to unforeseen circumstances. In this event, we will offer a full refund or a transfer to an alternative date or course.

 

5. Intellectual Property

  • Our Content: All content on this website and provided in Course materials, including text, graphics, and logos, is the property of Irish Medtech Skillnet, Ibec, or our training partners. These materials are for your personal, non-commercial use only and may not be reproduced or distributed.

  • The Platform: The underlying software, technology, and design of the CourseCo platform are the exclusive property of CourseCo or its licensors. You agree not to copy, modify, or create derivative works from the platform.

 

6. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

  • Platform Availability: This website is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive to ensure a high level of service, we do not guarantee that the site or the underlying CourseCo platform will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not liable for any downtime, technical issues, or data loss that is beyond our reasonable control.

  • General Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Irish Medtech Skillnet and Ibec shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or attendance at a Course. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid by you for the specific Booking in question.

 

7. Privacy and Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with GDPR. Your personal data is collected and processed through the secure CourseCo platform as detailed in our Privacy Policy. This policy explains how we, and our platform provider, handle your data.

 

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
